Privacy at 2xumzv
This notice relates to personal information used in running the 2xumzv online store, supported by Shopify. Our business contact address is 1450 Chestnut St, Vancouver, British Columbia, V6J 3K3, Canada. Send privacy enquiries to support@2xumzv.shop. British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act and applicable federal privacy requirements, including PIPEDA for relevant cross-border information handling, may apply. The appropriate requirements depend on the activity and circumstances.
What we receive
When you browse, buy, create or use an account, or ask for help, we receive information relevant to that interaction. It can include contact and address details, account information, goods ordered, transaction and payment-status references, return records and correspondence. Payment information is entered through the checkout payment service; limited method and transaction details may be provided for order administration. Do not email passwords or complete payment-card numbers or security codes. Device and browser details, IP addresses, activity, pages visited and session information may be collected through the platform, cookies and similar tools. Payment, delivery and other service providers may also send information needed to complete transactions and resolve problems.
Why information is handled
Relevant information is used to operate checkout and accounts, fulfil orders, send transaction updates, answer questions, process returns and refunds, detect misuse or fraud, protect the service and meet legal and record-keeping obligations. Information may also help analyse storefront use and improve the experience. Marketing communications and advertising, where undertaken, are subject to applicable consent and choice requirements. Opting out of promotion does not ordinarily stop necessary communications about an existing transaction.
When information is disclosed
Shopify supplies the commerce infrastructure. Other categories of recipients can include payment services, delivery services, hosting, customer support, security and operational providers. Analytics and advertising providers may receive information when those tools are used. Information may also be disclosed with your direction, as required by law, to protect legitimate rights and security, or in a business transfer with applicable protections. Providers may maintain their own privacy notices. Contact us if you need information about a service-provider category.
Cookies, marketing and your choices
Cookies and comparable technologies can keep a cart working, maintain sign-in and preferences, protect sessions, measure use and support relevant advertising. Browser controls allow you to restrict or remove cookies, although some functions may then be limited. Use any privacy choices actually offered by the store or the relevant service, or ask us what choices are available. If you receive promotional emails, use their unsubscribe link or contact support@2xumzv.shop to withdraw marketing consent, subject to applicable law.
How long information is kept
Retention is determined by the purpose of the information and requirements for orders, returns, accounts, accounting, tax, fraud prevention, disputes and legal obligations. Information is not necessarily deleted immediately when you ask if an applicable retention obligation continues. Ask us about a particular record or request if you need more detail. Reasonable safeguards aim to protect information against inappropriate access, use or disclosure; no online system is risk-free.
Processing outside Canada and children
Shopify and providers may handle or store information outside British Columbia or Canada. Laws and lawful government-access powers in another jurisdiction may differ, while our obligations under applicable Canadian law remain. The store is intended for ordinary shopping by people capable of entering the transaction, rather than independently collecting information from young children. Parents or guardians can contact us about a child’s information.
Access, correction and concerns
Email support@2xumzv.shop to request access, correction, withdrawal of consent, deletion or another choice available under applicable law. We may verify your identity proportionately and explain any legal or operational limit on a request. Withdrawing information or consent needed to complete a service can affect that service. Raise a concern with us first so we can investigate; you retain the ability to contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as appropriate. We will date revisions to this notice when the store’s practices or requirements change.
